How many times have you went back on your phone or hard drive and looked at old pictures? Can you remember the last time you flicked through an old photo album? What did it feel like? There’s something about the physical world that makes art and photographs unique. I recently partnered with a leading, global, print specialist to start selling some of my won work.
2020 was a strange year. COVID hit everyone hard and has reshaped the world as we knew it until recently. In an effort to capture this key moment in our most recent history, I grabbed my camera and hit the streets of London, during what it once was the busiest time of the year, and I was left with mixed feelings.

I know what you’re thinking. Not another video where Nikos is drinking again. Well, I don’t drink in this video. At least not on camera. But let’s face it, alcohol makes for an interesting subject in any situation. Jokes aside, filming this commercial-style video was a great way for me to keep sane during this pandemic since I’m not exactly "allowed” to go out and shoot yet. But in all honesty, I won’t judge you if you wanted to have a pint after watching the video.
Have you ever sat at a corner of a filled room looking at people, their expressions and reactions and wondered what their story is? It’s called “people watching” and it used to be my favourite pass time earlier in life when smartphones and portable consoles were not as popular. I’m looking to do the same through pictures and document a year in Londoners’ life.
What’s life without memories? They drive us, give us strength, motivate us and make look back with pride or sadness. But the worst part, is when you need to stop making memories and leave everything behind.
I’ll probably sound like an old romantic, but I prefer to do the old people watching on public transports than stare the glaring screen of my phone. It feeds my imagination and entertains my brain far more than reading the news or playing sudoku. Here’s why.
