Day 24: The rule of odds

Day 24: The rule of odds

Oh boy! Am I in the deep, or what?

Some of the challenges, don't come with clear instructions. Actually, some of them, are very vague, leaving you to wonder what could this challenge possibly be, or how it will turn up to look like.

Usually, I have a clear picture and a theme in my head before I grab my camera and try to complete my daily challenge. Today was different though. I had no vision, no guidance, no idea, as what the end result could look like.

It wasn’t clear in my head what that symmetry of an odd number of subjects could possibly be. Or what my subject will be for that matter.

I contemplated for days. In fact, this challenge was a lot earlier than day 24.

In the end, I opted in for something I was familiar with. Street photography. I just had to find the right street, where there are three lanes of cars at a traffic light stop and wait for three black cabs to show up at the same time.

As you can imagine, it took me a while. In snapping this picture, I had to be quick. So I cranked up my shutter to 1:250 and kept my ISO to 400. I opened my aperture to f/2.4 and I used autofocus in order to be snappy in taking this picture. In fact, I managed to take a few different ones since I had time a whole minute between the traffic lights.
